Writing Unit 3
Write a letter to a friend in response to his/her last letter.
Imagine it is June and you (and your family) have planned your summer holidays. (Choose from one on the holidays in the PPT)
-Write an introduction.
-Mention the last letter your friend sent.
-Talk about your life lately.
-Talk about your plans for your summer holidays: Your holidays last year were a disaster (everything went wrong-explain why) and this year you are planning something different. You have already arranged everything.
-Invite your friend to go with you.
-Finish the letter.
YOU MUST USE ALL VERB TENSES STUDIED SO FAR THIS YEAR. ALSO TRY TO USE VOCABULARY LEARNT IN THE FIRST TERM.

Talking about yourself

Number of people: 3
Type of activity: video recording (dialogue)
Deadline: next Friday.
Imagine you are 18 years old and you are sharing your flat with other students you have just met.
Talk about what your are into, some of your weaknesses/defects, what you can't stand from other people.... Write a dialogue similar to the dialogue in the video.
Then, record yourselves using your mobile (ask a friend to record you while you are performing. Show the video to the teacher from your mobile or upload it to Youtube. Send it to the teacher.
REMEMBER
-Use vocabulary from the worksheet I have given you and the book.
-When you start recording, check that the volume is loud enough right at the beginning, before it is too late.
-Do not talk too fast and use the right intonation. Do not read from any paper: the result will be a disaster and the teacher will notice straight away that your are reading. (The mark will be 0)
-Act it out: make the situation real.
-How long should it be? Similar to the video from the book.
-Use your sense of humour, but not too much.
-If you upload your video, you need to create a gmail account. Aks your parents to do it for you (ask them for permission first).
-When you send the video, remember that it must be "oculto".
